Materials:

Redheart yarn in , off white, yellow, marroon , and orange

White Button

Yarn needle

Scissors

G crochet hook

Stitch Marker

Abbreviations:

Ch= Chain

Chs= Chains

St= Stitch

Sts= Stitches

Slp St= Slip Stitch

Sp= Space

Sc= Single Crochet

Dc= Double Crochet

Fpdc= Front Post Double Crochet

Beanie:

Starting with your off white yarn slp st and ch 2

Round 1: 10 dc in second ch from hook , do not slp st. (10)

Round 2: 2 fpdc around first post, ( place st marker), 2 fpdc in every st around, do not slp st. (20)

Round 3 : 2 fpdc around first post, ( place st marker), 1 fpdc around next post *, continue pattern between **'s util end, do not slp st. ( 30)

Round 4: * 2 fpdc around first post, ( place st marker), 1 fpdc around nest 2 posts *, continue pattern between **'s until end, do not slp st. (40)

Round 5: * 2 fpdc around first post, ( place st marker), 1 fpdc around next 3 posts *, continue pattern between **'s until end , do not slp st. (50)

Round 6 : * 2 fpdc around first post , ( place st marker) , 1 fpdc around next 4 posts *, repeat between **'s until end , do not slp st. (60)

For smaller heads sk round 7 and go to round 8. For bigger head continue to round 7 and make 20 rounds instead of 19 and continue to follow number in the ().

Round 7: * 2 fpdc around first post, ( place st marker), 1 fpdc around next 5 posts*, repeat between **'s until end, do not slp st. (70)

Round 8-19 (20): 1 fpdc around each post moving st marker up as you go.

Rounds 20-21 (21-22): Change to maroon and fpdc around each post , do not slp st.

Round 22 (23): 1 sc in each st around, slp st and fasten off.

Flower or Flowers:

With yarn slp st and ch 10.

Round 1: Slp st in last st to form a ring , ch 1 and sc in each ch around , slp st. (10)

Round 2 : * ch 3 , slp st in next st , ch 5 then slp st in next st*, repeat pattern between **'s until the end , slp st to beginning st.

Round 3: ( sc, hdc, dc, hdc , sc) all in ch 3 sp , now sk the ch 5 sp and repeat pattern between () in every ch 3 sp skipping each ch 5 sp , slp st in a previous slp st behind first petal . ( 4 petals)

Round 4: ( sc , hdc , 3 dc, hdc, sc ) in every ch 5 sp around , slp st and fasten off , weave in ends.

Sew button on to hat and make flower in different colors. You can change the flower out by slipping it off and on the button .
