Round 16-17: Dc in each st around, slp st, ch 2
Round 18-19: Sc in each st around, slp st and ch 1 , on round 19 fasten off.
Purse Handle:
On each corner of the purse mark the center stitch then put your hook through the st before the st you marked and attach yarn to hook pulling it through.
Row 1: Ch 1 , sc in same st you attached yarn too, sc in marked st , sc in the st after the marked st, ch 1 , turn
Row 2-4: Sc in each of the 3 sts, ch 1 , turn.
Fasten off leaving enough tail to sew with . Attach your yarn needle and flip the piece over to create a loop and sew it so it stays in place. Make sure to repeat this process on the other side of your purse these loops are how you will attach a handle/strap.
To make the strap you will cut 24 pieces of yarn long enough that you can fold them in half and still have the length you want for the strap. After you cut all the pieces separate them in half so you have 12 for each side. You can adjust how many pieces you cut and the length you want . take 12 pieces and fold them in half . Place all the pieces together and insert them into one of the loops on the purse. Pull the loops up and grab the ends pulling them through the loops to create a knot. Do the same on the other side. Once that is done you will braid each side and tie the sides together real tight. And there you have a strap and you are done with that.
Pocket:
To make the pocket you will ch how ever many you want for the size pocket that you desire. Make sure to make a square then crochet around the entire piece fasten off and leave enough tail to sew with. Now sew that pocket onto the front of your purse just under the top round that was in back loops only.
Attach yarn to just above pockets on back loops only round .
Row 1: Ch 1 , sc in same loop, sc in each loop to the corner of other pocket, ch1 , turn
Row 2: Sk first st , sc in next st and across until 2 sts before last one , sk st and sc in last st, ch 1 , turn
Follow rows 1 and 2 till it forms a triangle fasten off and then reattach at corner to create a finishing trim. Just sc all the way around fasten off and weave in ends. Now add your button and you have your pocket.
Fringe:
Cut 5” pieces and tie them on to every loop showing from the back loop only rounds. Once you are done you have a finished fringe purse and very simple to make.
