Basic Abbreviations To Know

   This is what you want to know to begin crocheting.

I will start by posting the abbreviations you need to know when beginning, and then in later posts I will add videos on how to do the basic stitches you will need to know stitches.

Basic Abbreviations to know:

Ch=Chain

St=Stitches

Sts=Stitches

Sp=Space

[]=Work the directions in the brackets

()=Work the directions in the parentheses

*or**=Repeat directions

Beg=Beginning'

Bet=Between

Lps=Loops

Inc=Increase

Dec=Decrease

Abbreviations of basic stitches:

Slp St=Slip Stitch

Sc=Single Crochet

Sc2Tog=Single Crochet two together

Hdc=Half Double Crochet

Hdc2Tog=Half Double Crochet two together

Dc=Double Crochet

Dc2Tog=Double Crochet two together




   In the videos I post I will show you the basic stitches mentioned in here so keep checking I'll try to get the first video up on the Sc stitch soon.
